I am hoping someone may be able to help me please.
I am looking for the parents and family of Charles Jacobs b 1819 Tiverton Devon England, Charles died 30 Nov1884  Sale and is buried in the Sale cemetery in Victoria Australia. Charles married Christina Rose Tichbourne. Again i am looking for help to find Charles parents and siblings, any information would be greatly appreciated. With many thanks Kmmit

 I have no idea when and where Charles and Christina were married, this is all second hand information, but i have a feeling that Charles parents maybe William Jacobs 1781Stoke Damerel Devon England and he married Johanna O'Neil. My resources are very limited i live in the country and the internet lets just say is more than unreliable so checking things can be a bit strained. Hence me asking for help many thanks

My access to Australian records is limited but I can see a death transcript for a Charles who was born c1866 - parents Charles Jacobs & Christina Tichbourne.  I presume that young Charles was born in Australia

They must have been married about 1862 to 1863 only calculated guess as 1st child Jane was born 1864.BUT Jane was born in Sale Victoria. To add to the confusion Charles was a convict and sent to Tasmania dep2 Feb1848 arrived 18 May 1848 he did married a girl there Catherine Coddingtonin1850 but she died 1855 and then he came to Australia. So i am assuming again he and Christina married in Sale Australia.

That is probable right then as i stated jane Jacobs was born 1864 Sale Victoria.
Hope you may have more luck you end finding Charles parents and siblings. I have very limited access records to England

How do you know where he was born. 

I don't know anything about marriage certificates from Victoria for that period, what information would they give
