Oh, woe is me for being an Octogenarian and way past my sell-by date. Now I can safely record that he was indeed the oldest to marry in my family. I'm in the records too as being the youngest and the most married (five times). Thank you all for your help.

Re Nancy there are hints on ancestry to records of her birth, 1911 entry, 1939 entry, death and probate entry.

I think that the 'memorial' at High Wycombe is possibly just acknowledging his time there.  The funeral was at Rottingdean, maybe his will indicates where he wished his remains to be laid.
