I am currently researching the Hodgkins/ Hodgkinsons from Uttoxeter who i believe were gypsies.  My great x 3 grandmother was Sarah Hodgkinson and she married John Nield in Uttoxeter.  Sarah was born 1813. Her parents were William Hodgkins and Elizabeth Mear who married in 1812 in Lichfield.  William was born any time between 1781 and 1791. I'm struggling to find any more on William or Elizabeth such as place of birth and parentage . If anyone is researching this line please get in touch
