I completely agree with LEPORE as I'd used the same reference for the letter "L".

I guess the proof of the pudding would be s marriage record but it could still be a needle in an incomplete haystack, even if I knew a date or place. I'm going to see if I can pull together information about Vincenzo's and Matilde's children - the year/place of birth of their eldest child may guide me to their marriage details.

Meantime, I've managed to adjust the image so as to make the handwriting stand out more. I've passed it to my Aunt but she's currently snowed under with work (and she's supposed to be retired!!)

I've also popped a related post on here in the hope someone can decipher.

Thanks to your kind help, we have one document so fingers-crossed!!

A useful looking resource, but it seems to be one for the future as I cannot find matches for my gt-grandparents Vincenzo and Matilde. Without the basics, I can't form connections with the names that are shown.

I'll try and document the details that I do know and upload ASAP.

I am afraid to say that I currently do not know a lot about this branch of my family tree.....

Her death entry (Tylman) on GRO's own site shows her full christian names were Cristina Carmela Raffaela.

Hi Annette7 and thank you.

I have found transcripts of the Death record for my Nana Cristina (on some of the popular websites). They refer to Cristina Carmela R Tylman.

I have just tried looking at the GRO but cannot seem to complete any sort of search. Do I need to register first?

Cristina Carmela R Tylman b 23 Aug 1928 d age 75 registered Jan 2004   Staffordshire Moorlands RD
Register Number:   35
District and Subdistrict:   736/3
Entry Number:   53

You have to be quite careful how you put the info in but did find Cristina on the GRO
TYLMAN, CRISTINA  CARMELA RAFFAELA    1928
GRO Reference:  DOR  Q1/2004 in STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS  (7363)  Reg 35  Entry Number 53

Make sure you only put Cristina in as first forename and then Carmela as second forename in the box below. You should then find Cristina and be able to order the death certificate as a copy or a pdf.
