CWGC are appealing for relatives of driver David Ernest Butcher - driver Royal Horse Artillery.
Died 22/10/1919

Driver 172357, 1st/1st Leicester Battery, Royal Horse Artillery. Formerly, Private SE/3261, No 2 Veterinary Hospital, Army Veterinary Corps. Served from, 5th January 1915, to 18th October 1918, when no longer physically fit for war service. Died at Home, aged 29. Son of Harry Ernest and Mary Butcher (nee Mitchell). Husband of Ethel Elsie Butcher (nee Randall). Commemorated on the Storrington War Memorial

The Commission is in the process of producing a special memorial headstone to commemorate him, as it is not possible to mark his actual grave.
