(started at ancestry's 1900 census page and looked for Ethel born 1898 +/- 1 year, parents John and Lola. all names exact, no last name, living in Pittsburgh. Ancestry found them in Canton. same method - without the location - will work at familysearch. residence: anywhere, date: 1900 - 1900)

There is a street index at the top.
East Street and 2nd Street cross in plate 14 on the map.

Looks like they moved to Canton about 1899. The City Directories sometimes reflect the last year's residences, and they are in both Pittsburgh and Canton Directories for 1899:

Note no mention of Lola after 1902. The directory did include spouses for other men.
Sarah is listed in all those years. She was running a boarding house starting in 1902 so her husband might have died. Others with her at times: Olive, Edna, Richard.
