Occupation question
« on: Wednesday 24 November 21 17:05 GMT (UK) »
My 3 x great grandfather's occupation is listed in the 1851 census as a "Brushire". Am i reading this incorrectly? I think he became a watchmaker, if that helps. And the address is Upper White Cross Street, Finsbury Park.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts

I just looked for Upper White Cross Street in the 1851 census and it was on the first page I looked at.

Looks like Brashier - maybe a brazier?

If daughter Sarah is the one baptised at St Thomas Charterhouse on 6 March 1848, William was a musician at that time.

What is his occupation on marriage, or William’s baptism/registration?
