Jabez Nichols 1869(ish)

Hi,
Im fairly new to this whole family tree stuff.
I've been looking in to my mum's side of the family and have had relatively good success so far with most of the family.
However, there is one distant relative , JABEZ NICHOLS that is kinda stumping me. I have found him on the census between 1871 and 1901 and then I can't find him.I have him as being born in 1869/1870 but can't find a marriage or death. I've tried looking in Nottingham as that is where his brother, my 2x great grandad ended up but no luck. Am I missing something???
Any idea where to look please?

That's him, although there is a debate as to whether his mmn is Tanner or Canner.

There are lots of possible alternative spellings of his surname. Also, his age will be shown as given by the informant, and if the informant didn’t know him well, that age might be a fair bit out.

What about Jabez Nichols, whose death age 55 was registered in Nottingham on 1913?

Just to add that the Jabez who died in 1913 left a probate record.
