Yes, one hears of couples marrying on a beach in Mali, for example.  But I suspect a few of them don't expect the arrangement to be very permanent ....  :(
Whilst I realise there is a lot of sand in Mali, owing to the Sahara. But I'm not sure it would constitute a beach, nor be an appealing setting for a marriage. Maybe Bali might be a more picturesque location.  ;D
No doubt you are right - but it doesn't alter my point very far ?  ??? I think there are some beaches along the Niger river ?

I eloped and got married in Australia so no one will be able to find my marriage unless they know the fact. We had to go through the Australian embassy and get the documents witnessed by a solicitor in the UK before we left as hubby had been married abroad.
I like to think I have left future generations a brick wall to solve  ;D
