adding email account
« on: Thursday 02 December 21 18:52 GMT (UK) »
I am on Windows 8.1 and using Live Mail. There are 2 of us using the same email (we have no secrets)
My husband has just got a tablet and had to create a email address of his own , this is a gtmail address.
I can send and receive  emails from my account to his, but want to add it to the desktop pc.
How do I add it to Windows Live . I follow the instructions but then am stuck.
Thanks

This should help you:

Make sure you do the bit under "First set up POP in Gmail" otherwise these emails will not download.

I can receive emails from the gmail account on Windows Live Mail but I want to add the gmail account to my desktop  so Hubby can use it to send using his gmail.
So really need to create another account / email adress.

I'm baffled by something that must be so easy 😬

Thanks

Hi Wilcoxon
On live mail click on settings. Go to the bottom of the panel and open all settings.
Click on Sync Mail.
Add connected  account Click on Gmail add display name, then it logs onto Gmails site and you give permission from there.

I can`t see it. The cogs in my brain are wearing out.
However I have created a new Bt email address for the OH  but still have to add it to Windows live .
So back to square one.

How is something so simple baffling me !

Thanks everyone for your patience,  I have managed with a lot of %@#$£€₩% to get two email addresses sorted.

I'm sure I'll be back with some other problem
