John Poole-Bigamist or not

Hi all
I am looking for possible marriages for the above person. John Poole was born in 1840, registered in Nantwich Cheshire, mmn was Potts.
I have him aged 1 in 1841 with his parents Ralph and Sarah Poole living in Barthomley in Cheshire.
1851 aged 11 he was an apprentice Tailor with a Billington family in Barthomley. Heres the interesting part, John married an Isabelle Campbell in 1860 in Farnsworth Lancashire, on the 1861 census they had 1 son Thomas George Poole aged 1 month, Isabelle was down as being born in Scotland (Argyll).
Then Isabelle and son Thomas totally disappear and by 1871 John Poole is with a Sarah (possibly Burslem) as man and wife living in Birmingham with their child called Edith Poole aged 8 months.
Then in 1881 John is with a different woman again, this time her name is Rose aged 27 and again living as man and wife. They have Edith with them aged 10 from the 1871 census, a child called Jannet aged 9 (which i havent checked for a birth yet) but they have 5 children together, Maud, Sidney, Myra, Minnie and Harry.
What i need help on is,
1. What happened to his first wife Isabelle? Did she die or did he leave her?
2. Did he marry Sarah from the 1871 census, and what happened to her before 1881?
3. Did he also marry Rose from the 1881 census.

Have you established that there are no others by his name, age, place of birth?
