North Shields is undergoing huge renovation around Northumberland Square (beside the library). As old roads are being dug up an old tram line has been unearthed.
Obviously this won't be viewable forever, so if this might be of interest I would suggest going to view it soon ..
As an added bonus the Christmas market is on this weekend, 11th-12th December and there is lots going on .. several fun fair rides, loads of stalls, music and food.
