 ;D john albert cottingham is a relative of mine , who sadly died on may 3rd 1917, he has  no know grave , i have a few details about him which i have reasearched.
he served with the buffs regiment , 6th battilion
if anyone knows of any pics of him in his uniform, i would be forever grateful , pic is john albert cottingham with the red circle around him

He is remembered on the Rolvenden War Memorial .The Village he was born and grew up in with his Mum and Dad, Henry and Jemima. and his Siblings.

He is also remembered on the Throwley War Memorial Plaque in the Church.The Village he was living at Wilgate Green at the time of his death.

yep i know ive been there and seen it plus have pics of it, im trying to find a picture of him in his uniform if possible as he served with the buffs regiment 6th battilion

Hi. I'm researching my family tree and found a John cottingham who is the nephew of my ancestor. This photo is great. Do you know any more about him? I did find a photo of school teachers in 1908 and the teacher on this photo is wearing the exact same as the one in my photo
