Hi Rosie, many thanks for this. Having looked through those pages, I think they indicate that I'm correct in how I've apportioned the known Wood children between George & Sarah and Samuel & Sarah, but I still have 2 more to find.
I was hoping to find some salvation in baptism and burial records, but I haven't found baptisms or burials on FreeReg for any of George & Sarah's 7 children who'd died before the 1911 census. I'm not very familiar with the area, so I might not be using the filters correctly. What I've been doing is choosing Staffordshire -> Blackheath and then ticking the "Nearby Places" box.
