Darlington Local Studies Library holds microfiches for Staindrop - see this link - 1635-1760, 1760-1812.

I'm not sure whether they would do research for you at the present time.  Contact details here, halfway down the page under "Group visits":

The staff have always been very obliging in the past, hope they can help you.

Thanks T'Boo - As suggested I also had another look at FamilySearch and found a filmed version of Staindrop burial index but only 1635-1718. Naturally mine died 1719 onwards  ::)
The info on FS says the film is for Burials 1735-1718 - unfortunately a mistyped/misleading heading if anyone is looking for this.

Wonderful links from Tillypeg - thank you

I see they have fische of the burials so will contact & see if they might assist.

Really do appreciate all the help I've received. Searching in a new county is always a challenge and a big learning experience.

Cheers all

Di
