The Julia Doyle in 1913 is probably not the one you are looking for. Informant was Julia Mayfield. A Julia B Doyle married a JG Mayfield in 1913. Her parents were given as James Doyle and Julia Burns. There is a James Doyle died in 1875 with same grave reference Section A, Bl 1 Lot 34 as Julia Doyle, Julia Mayfield and John Mayfield

I think the Doyle folks in Chicago are a red herring. Mother Julia is a widow by 1870, so Patrick has passed away somewhere - perhaps Illinois or Arkansas.

This is where the 1890 census would've come in handy, but most of it no longer exists. Daughter Julia could be married and living somewhere else by the 1900 census - if indeed she was still alive. Same for her mother. They could've moved on from Little Rock after 1870.

I agree Hillhurst, it’s back to the drawing board, I wouldn’t mind but everything was fitting in so nicely there for a while. Nevertheless, great progress has been made since posting this thread and it’s thanks to everyone who contributed.

Much appreciated!
John

The names are quite common, lots of combinations to search through.  :-\
