Stratton Audley Marriage Records after 1748

Hi Guys

Can you help again please.

I'm trying to find a Register of Marriages for Stratton Audley. When I search on A****.co.uk using no Christian or Surname, just using Stratton Audley as the location, the last marriages that seem to be recorded are in 1748.

Is there a Register somewhere else where i need to look that I don't have access to? or have the Stratton Audley marriages been subsumed into another Register, say the Bicester Parish Register?

I seem to have a few marriage records that fall after 1748 that I am unable to find.

Are you looking at the images of the Stratton Audley register on ancestry? There are definitely marriages recorded after 1748 that I can see.  At least up to 1751, but none after that. Later marriages are indexed, but no images as far as I can see.

What names in particular are you looking for?

The marriage I'm currently looking for is George Carey(1727) and Ann Humphries(1726) which I believe happened around 1758 in Stratton Audley.

While the transcripts from the Register are OK i have found quite a few omissions (perhaps 3 or 4 lately) when you go through the Registers almost line by line.

While I understand that  'Select' Births, Marriages Deaths are from microfiche and not easy to sort through I thought that looking through the Register would be easier.

Your help is much appreciated.

That presumably explains their absence from Ancestry.
