Daniel was born Nov 24, 1865 in Ireland, parents John Hurl, Eliza McCotter. I have birth record. Daniel married Anne Jane Farnam Feb 2, 1887 in Nebraska. Marriage record says Daniel's father John. The 1900 census says Daniel born England but that is an error. The 1910 Idaho Census says Daniel born Ireland, married 23 years, age 45 which fits better. Death certificate says father Daniel. Daniel is buried in Pocatello, Idaho.
I think Daniel's mother must have died when Daniel was very young because I find a John Hurl remarrying in 1869 in Scotland to Ellen Hannigan but not 100% sure it is Daniel's father. John and Ellen had a son Joseph. Perhaps an obit will clarify things.

Wow, that was quick. I have looked for Dennis Hurl in Ireland in 1901 and 1911 without any luck. I did find the marriage of Charles J. Jupe to Mary Elizabeth Hurl in 1905 in Manhattan. Online tree has her parents as Daniel Hurl and Eliza McCotter and that she was born 1875-1878 in England. So the widower John who remarried in Scotland in 1869 is not Daniel and Mary Elizabeth's father.
