" Patrick Baxter" and "Ann McQueeney" Marriage Rhode Island

I am after when " Patrick Baxter" and "Ann McQueeney" married in Rhode Island.

Their first child "Mary Baxter" was born in 1854 in Rhode Island but I am unable to locate a marriage
for them.

Did they later give an arrival year/ years wed?

I think they must have married close to the birth of the fist child.

State wide registration of marriages in Rhode Island began in 1853.  Earlier marriage records dating back to 1636 were kept by the towns. If Patrick is not appearing on the marriage index you may have to look at other sources, Church Records, Newspapers, Obituaries etc.,

The first child, Mary, was born in Providence, RI. It appears the family lived there the rest of their lives.

Neither of their death notices mention when or how long they were married.
