Edward Gane & Elizabeth Chilick both born Harwich 1801

I am trying to find out the family lines for Edward Gane and Elizabeth Chilick. Would like to know who their parents were, or their siblings. Edward was a seaman. They married 18.12.1827 in Essex. I have records of their 4 children. Any help will be much appreciated.

I do not see a record for Elizabeth Chilick but I see a number of Elizabeth Killick's on family search around that time, none in Essex but in surrounding Counties.

Do you have from Wesleyan records? Edward James son of Edward Gane seafaringman & Elizabeth, born 20 May 1832 in Harwich & baptised there 15 Jul 1832.

I note the 1851 census, eldest son Edward born about 1831, registrations for their two daughters below, have you found any later census returns?

Dedham could work, as it is near Harwich. I agree, the name Chilick does not sound correct. There is Thomas Gane marrying Mary Cully Bacon at Dedham on 01.09.1778

Allen Killick buried 16 Feb 1809 aged 60 St Nicholas,Harwich. Where was their marrige? I can't find it.

I have followed their 4th child, Matilda Gane, born 14.05.1841 at Aldgate, London, who married Edward Hatfield 24.06.1861 in Aldgate. 1881 they are living in Enfield. I am really trying to find if there is any connection between Thomas Poole Gane b 1781 and Edward Gane. I have the family line for Thomas Poole Gane and his wife Anne Knight, who married in Harwich in 1806
