Roman Catholic records Northumberland 1900's to 1930s
« on: Thursday 30 December 21 17:17 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Some of my ancestors were roman catholics who lived in Willington Quay in the late 1800s and also  in Jarrow and North Shields in the period between 1900 and the 1930s. I have a marriage certificate from St. Cuthbert's Church, North Shields, 1929. However I have not been able to locate any baptism records for any of my aunts and uncles, or for my grandparents or mother. I believe all my aunts and uncles and my mother would have attended St. Cuthbert's Church and the Catholic  school on Albion Road in the 1930s. My grandmother was a roman catholic but I think my grandfather was not. They lived in Chirton.
Where would I go to get copies of the baptism records? Do I need to go to  a records office or can I find them on line? They are all deceased now.

Thanks I have been in touch with them and have received some catalogues to look through. They were very helpful
