Could Thomas have been married before his marriage to Martha? So we would be looking for children before 1705 to Thomas and X.
Highly unlikely as he was born about 1686 from research a cousin did many years ago.

How sure are you of that birth year? Have you found a baptism? That would make him only 19 on his marriage to Martha, a bit young to be described as a yeoman.
The set of children to Thomas and Ann fit well with the missing children on the will. Thomas jnr b 1692 fits well with the one who married Mary (a child of the marriage found earlier this thread and deleted). Ann/ Amy w/o Thomas died a couple of years before the marriage to Martha. (I think Ann Hoar's mother was Amy, hence the confusion or just a transcription error)

Martha Hall was baptised in Kemble, Wilts (mentioned as residence on marriage) 14 Nov 1675 d/o John and Susanna. That would make her 30 at marriage. A bit unlikely for a 30 year old woman to marry a 19 year old man.

To be honest I don’t know how my cousin came to this conclusion. On looking back at his notes it has born before 1686 so you could be onto something especially as you have found Martha’s birth. I couldn’t find it. So thank you for that. I will look more at this tomorrow.
Thanks so much for your help.

To tie up some loose ends I still need the deaths for the children not mentioned in Thomas’s Will. They are Ann born 1690, Jeane born 1697 and the unnamed son 1702.  I am guessing that Ann (Thomas’s wife) died in childbirth or about the time of the birth of the unnamed son and I’m guessing this son died also.  What do others think?
Many Thanks
