I have just noticed Neale1961 posted a different 1851 census to the one I posted, I checked SP a 55 year old William does not appear in the County and only one 51 year old Janet, something is not quite right?

Col, that 1851 census i quoted has the spelling GIBESON

I thought the one I posted was Janet with a James, the one Monica posted.

James Gibson bpt 14 Aug 1816 Balmaclellan, Kirkcudbright.

I thought he might have married an Agnes, there is one marriage, below, but that is after the 1851 census?
