John Quicke of Newton House and William Trevarton of Portloe

Hi All,

Nothing to do with my family tree, but I wondered if this would be of interest to others.

I came across this document at an antiques dealer in Victoria, Australia on new years day. The accompanying document states:

"This endenture is a lease document dated 1818. John Quicke of Newton House, County of Devon, leased to William Trevarton of Portloe in the Parish of Veryan and The County of Cornwall, a block of land to build a dwelling on in the Vilage of Portloe within the Manor of Trethenal. A 99 year lease. The rent being 10/- per year."

I'm assuming the John Quicke mentioned is the son of the man featured in this Wikipedia article - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Quicke_(1724-1776).

If anyone wants a better copy, I've a 4mb version I can send through email.
