I’ve only found his pension record on ancestry, do they have other RIC records as well?

I could be wrong - the RIC records on Ancestry appear to be Index records only. No images. FindMyPast have the images.

Thanks all, yeah just paid for the find my past one, nothing in it. Loads of images on ancestry for his pension, essentially all the same. I was hoping there might be something from him joining like military service records have with next of kin etc.

Definitely his death and in the census, great work again 😃

Oh it's in the separate RIC Pensions data set. Thanks! Good to know that's the collection with images. The other set is an "work in progress" Index only.

Where and when was he born (as per 1901 census)? Sorry, my laptop just doesn't want to cooperate with anything today.  ::)
