Identical twins
« on: Tuesday 11 January 22 19:59 GMT (UK) »
My wife is a identical twin.
Here twin sisters son also did his DNA but her twin did not so my wife shows up as his mother.
Nothing odd there.
However I have been checking all the DNA matches and he always shows in matches for 4-6 cousins except one and my wife has a lot of 4-6 cousin matches most without trees.
Could there be a reason that he is not matching with one but with all the other ones my wife does?

Thank you

It could be that since he is a generation removed he doesn't have enough DNA in common with some of those cousins in order to match with them.

If it's any help, my Mum has matches in the 4-6th cousin range who don't match with me.  I think it's just that I only have half her DNA, and sometimes the bits that she shares with various cousins aren't necessarily those that I have inherited.
