WW2 Chaplain to the Forces
« on: Saturday 15 January 22 13:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello

My grandfather's cousin was a Catholic Priest, who served as a Chaplain to the Forces in WW2.

I have entries from the London Gazette confirming his commission in 1941 and him relinquishing his commission in 1946.  Both entries list him under Royal Army Chaplains Department.

Would his service records be kept by the MOD in the same way as for soldiers, and would these be the only way to establish which battalion/regiment he was attached to?

Thanks
