Dorset Family History Society’s Monthly Online Zoom Meeting
« on: Saturday 15 January 22 15:07 GMT (UK) »
Dorset Family History Society is hosting an on-line Zoom talk on Tuesday 15th February  2022 from 7.30pm - 9.15pm (approx.)

ON-LINE SPEAKER is KIRSTY GRAY with a talk entitled ‘SEARCHING FOR SURNAMES’.

Kirsty looks at the challenges, pitfalls and the downright ridiculous! Along with her top ten tips for searching online, Kirsty has some amusing name finds and shows how searching can go very wrong.

Kirsty became involved in genealogy at an early age with her mother, researching their maternal family history. Kirsty went from rookie to a professional genealogist, heir tracer and business owner. She has featured on the Canadian “WDYTYA” and on “Family Finders”, and is a world-renowned speaker.

Zoom sign-in from 7.15 pm (UK time).

Society Members who have consented to receive information by e-mail will find a meeting invitation link, and how to donate the voluntary £3 admission, in the E-News sent about 4 days before the meeting.

Those who do not receive E-News, or who are not Society Members, are welcome to join this meeting and should access the talk by emailing liaison@dorsetfhs.org.uk from the week before. An invitation will be sent out with sign in details of how to sign in to Zoom from 7.15pm on the night for a 7.30pm start.

The Society would welcome a voluntary contribution of £3 towards the cost via our website.  Thank you.
