Osborne House, Pevensey Bay
« on: Saturday 15 January 22 17:28 GMT (UK) »
I have just found my relative on the 1921 census listed at Osborne House, Pevensey Bay. He is recorded as a whole time boarder.

I have been unable to find anything on the web re Osborne House and am hoping someone on Rootschat may have some information, as I am intrigued to know why he was there as the family home was in Clerkenwell, Middlesex.

Many thanks

No, the address is Osborne House, Pevensey Bay.

The only information re Osborne House on the web is for the royal residence on the Isle of Wight

Go to the address search, search on Pevensey and  and you get  a list of addresses, with their schedule numbers.

Collate the list of house names arranged by the schedule number +/- 5 relating to your osbourn house.
List them in order to 'place' the address

The additional free documents available from FindMyPast also includes a map, description of area etc.

Don’t know what happened there but my post has vanished!

The address box definitely says Osborne House, Pevensey Bay.

I haven’t had much experience of the 1921 census as yet so tomorrow I will bring the entry back up and follow PaulineJ’s instructions.

There is a 1927 probate for Eliza Burdon Hubble of Osborne house, Pevensey Bay.  If you find her in 1911 she was Head of a children's convalescent home.
