Sorry forgot to add connection to history of Derby by Stephen Glover 1829, which give a family tree,
Note he has 4sons and 1 daughter who died prior to Fathers death.

Check London Lives 1690-1800 it has a list of PCC wills for the Gisborne family of Derbyshire

John 31 May 1704 Derbyshire
James  -Clerk 2 October 1759 of Staveley Derbyshire
John 19 July 1762 Derby
James -- Major General of His Majesty's Fort Charlemont  (this must be one of the executors re John 1779)
John 30 March 1779
Thomas G --Physician Clifford Street, St James Piccadilly (mentioned in John 1779)

The National Archives UK you can still download the wills for FREE, you have to create an account
first but once you sign in it's still free due to covid restrictions.

I just did John 1762 he leaves the majority of his estate to his grandson William Lushington eldest son of Thomas Godfry Lushington and my daughter Dorothy now deceased. Lots of other relations
including my nephew John Gisborne.

ADDED
Just found his burial at St Werburgh 5 June 1762 John Gisborne Esq. Alderman of Derby

You are going to need a spread sheet to follow the property transfers.

James Gisborne, Major General of Charlemont.1778
His dear wife (no name) Brother Dr. Thomas Gisborne, sister Dorothy Foxlow w/o Samuel Foxlow, sister Catherine, sister Ann w/o Isaac Hawkins, brother Francis Gisborne.

It doesn't help each family has a Francis, Thomas and John etc.

John 1704. Dearest wife (no name) son Thomas, son John, daughter Katherine w/o William Hawkins of Burton Upon Trent Staffordshire.
Brother Thomas Gisborne and he mentions property now in the possession of cousin Richard Ward.

Ancestry doesn't have Thomas the Physician 1784 of Piccadilly.

Good morning amodg.
Many 5th anks again for all the very interesting excerpts you sent yesterday. Sorry above delay in response - spent all day yesterday travelling from Edinburgh to Cardiff to visit family for the week so replying to you from my phone. There's a wealth of detail in your posts that need unravelling to decipher which generation is which. My interest stems from the couple Thomas Gisborne and Temperance Packer who married in 1715 so I need to unravel the individuals mentioned above. They had John, Zachariah and Temperance but they might also have had a James. I need to fing out where the Major James and Dr Thomas fit in. So thanks for highlighting these individuals. Will definitely need to sign up to Ancestry again as I think there are more possibilities there that on Find My Past especially with bap and bur records. Thanks again.
