Hi Ian  You mentioned this what was written The minister had noted that he was a whaler and that he was believed to be dead in 1915. Is it possible to find a Whaling ship he may have served on and possibly a picture of the ship if available this would be the last piece of the jig saw puzzle your help has been fantastic.
