Census or death for Sarah McPherson nee Morren
« on: Wednesday 19 January 22 12:19 GMT (UK) »
I have just found a newspaper entry in Scotland for a marriage between Harry McPherson and Sarah Morren on 6th September 1910. Since finding that I have now found the marriage on Family Search. They married in Toledo, Ohio. As their marriage was in September 1910 they would have missed the 1910 census in America. So far I have been unable to find anything more on this couple.  They are both from Scotland. I am particularly researching the Morren side of this couple in America as I have a lot on Sarah and her family in Dufftown, Scotland.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Betty

A Sarah Morren, age 22, single, occp. domestic, departed Glasgow, 25 Jun 1910, for Montreal, Canada, aboard the Southwark.

Possibility?

Thanks for that. Could be my Sarah. I have just found a sailing from Scotland in 1912 with destination Toledo for a Sarah McPherson, coincidence maybe. Then a sailing in 1920 for a Harry and a Sarah McPherson. Harry was a carpenter. Maybe another coincidence. If both are my ancestors they must have been okay for money.

Thanks for your time.

Looking at Sarah's 1910 passenger record on Familysearch, it is endorsed "Tourist" and "Gone to USA"
