Origins of Hannah Sylvia Thompson

Hannah Sylvia married Wallace Woodman on 26th March 1932, in Warmley, Bristol. She was Wallace’s second wife.

Her age is given as 37, and she was a spinster. Residence at time of marriage was The Griffin Inn, Warmley, and her father was Walter John Thompson, deceased.

I have found Hannah on two electoral rolls, along with other Thompsons, at The Griffin.

But find her in a census, I cannot! Or a birth registration. Would any Rootschatters have more luck?

On the 1939 register she gives her birth date as 9 August 1894

On the original marriage image her father's name is Walter John Thompson deceased, Railway goods manager which may help in the search.

Apart from the age being out, that looks good. A Mary Thompson appears with Hannah on one electoral roll, along with a Stanley Thompson, and Elsie on the other,

A witness to the marriage is another Walter Thompson, but the middle initial is difficult to read.

I wonder if she may have knocked a few years off her age when she married, so as to appear to be closer to Wallace in age? Although someone obviously knew how old she really was, given that on her death registration.
