George Henry Jackson Royal Worcesters
« on: Saturday 22 January 22 20:34 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I am looking for any info on George Henry Jackson who was a Colour Sergeant in the Royal Worcesters. I assume he was in Ireland in 1902 and 1904 as his first two children were born there.

I cant find any info on Ancestry or FindMyPast

Ken

He is on FindMyPast as plain George Jackson - born 1875 Oldbury, Worcestershire, discharged 8/1/1916 after 22 years service - Coy. Sgt Major, Worcestershire Regiment, Corps 12/Bn.  Originally enlisted 19/1/1894.  Service no.3924.

Definitely him as later page lists his wife and children.

Hello,

I have just joined RootsChat. I am responding to a message posted on RootsChat regarding CSM George henry Jackson who served with the Royal Worcesters between 1894 and 1916. I am not related to Jackson but I have something in my possession that may interest his relatives. I have his WW1 Victory medal. It was picked up in an antique shop in the fifties by my Great Uncle. I am keen to contact any living descendants of George Jackson so I can return the medal to the family.
