Im trying to find out more about a lady called Sarah Foulten.She married John Wildish on 8th November 1796 Teynham.Its possible the name has been mistranscribed,and is actually Souten or something similar.Any help appreciated.

Perhaps her baptism - Sarah Soutin daughter of Richard & Mary at Teynham 7th June 1772 .

If this is transcribed as 'Soutter', where did you get the name Foulten from in your first post?
From this small clip. I'd say it was Soutter.
Is this her signature, or has it been written by the vicar? It would be more helpful to see a bigger clip to compare the formation of the letters.

The image is from Kent Marriages and Banns. FindMyPast also has a transcription from English Marriages 1538-1973 with her name as Foulten. Curate's first name is Stephen.
