Elizabeth Purdy Baptism
« on: Friday 28 January 22 15:06 GMT (UK) »
Looking for a baptism of an Elizabeth Purdy d/o George and Mary if anyone can help please.

Elizabeth was on the 1841 with her parents and siblings in Hammersmith aged 15 (age could of been 15-19ish)

I found all her siblings as far as I know, at the LMA a number of years ago, but was missing Elizabeths, since becoming more established with the new layout of Familysearch I have not been able to locate information there.

Her elder sister Lydia baptised November 1821 and her younger brother William baptised May 1827 both at St Pauls Hammersmith, younger siblings were baptised at St Peters Hammersmith

Many thanks

Can't find a baptism, but there is a marriage on FreeBMD for an Elizabeth Purday to a James Bennett Watkins 12/1/1845. Also a tree online with 10 children, and the 1901 census has her as being born in Hammersmith. The tree shows her death as 1903, but of course all would need checking, and you may well have this information as you were looking for her baptism only.
Regards.

Have you a baptism for George who is the same age as Elizabeth in 1841?

Just to narrow down a year.

Yes, George was baptised 13 May 1827 at St Pauls the same day as his brother William Purdy.

I am thinking that Elizabeth's baptism may have been mis transcribed or she was not baptised at all, which seems a little odd as I have all the baptisms for her siblings

Just thought have you got her after 1841 linked to this family?

Thinking perhaps she wasn't another daughter but a niece or some other relative as 1841 doesn't specify.

Sorry I see you have her marriage which ties in with father George.
