Arthur Clune

Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for relatives of Private Arthur Clune - Seaforth Highlanders - service number :- 2822666 - who died 7 May 1945 - buried at Clachan burial ground -  Lochbroom Parish Church.

The private memorial marking the grave of Arthur Clune no longer provides adequate commemoration. The commission are in the process of producing a new headstone to mark his grave.

In loving memory of Arthur Clune, only son of Mr & Mrs Clune, Ardcharnich served with the 4th Seaforth Highlanders 1939. Prisoner of War in Germany, died 7th May 1945 aged 25

Isabella also listed on border crossing - had arrived in Quebec  4 August 1919 on the Scotian.

The son was Arthur Clune born 1922 Hamilton Ontario.
