St John Pembroke Dock Freeman Marriage
« on: Sunday 30 January 22 15:17 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the marriage of Edward Freeman (bachelor ) and Hannah Thomas (widow ) in the parish of St John Pembroke Docks,  I have a copy of the Banns which were entered into the register  ( Page 24, No75, in 1875.) I cannot find any trace on line or on any census (1881,1891.)  of their family, especially siblings. I belive that they may have died and the children were orphan at some time in the late 1800's.  Any help would be most welcome as I have hit a brick wall for the last 20yrs with this query.

The clergy appears to put an 'M' against some of the banns when they marry and there is not one on their banns.  :-\

ADDED I also looked for Neil McCluskey whose banns are a couple of pages later - FindMyPast has the register image for that marriage as well as the banns image.

Have you the names of these children?  Are they alone on census or missing?

Hi, I have one sibling who was down on the 1911 census as being born at pembroke dock 's, and going by her age she was born about 1885/6  .Her name was Margaret Freeman.  On her marriage cert her father was Edward Freeman. In the 1901 census she was in Dr Barnado's Home in Ilford Essex. I believe she had other sister's  one who was my g/mother and she was born in Barry. and another one believed to be called Elizaberth. I have not been able to find any thing on them.

It says Pembroke, Wales not Pembroke Docks  :-\

Her marriage took place in Croydon 1908.  Witnesses Minnie Hannah Andrews and  Ada Mary Howell.

Why do you think that the Margaret in Barnardos in Essex is your Margaret, it does not give a place of birth and the name is not uncommon.
