Death of Edwin Patrick Parker
« on: Monday 31 January 22 11:25 GMT (UK) »
I would appreciate help with finding the death of Edwin Patrick Parker Born 8 November 1881 Mile End Old Town.  I have him in all census up to 1921 when he is with wife Honora & children Avarn Road Tooting.  His occupation was with the Electricity Co.
He does not appear on the 1939 registration.  Honora & children are still at Avarn Road but no Edwin.  Honora states she is married not widower.
Edwins death eludes me on Freebmd.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Do this couple have Irish ancestry I wonder? I am thinking of the 'Patrick' and 'Honora'. Just wondering if they have - he may have gone to Ireland.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

I can't see a birth registration MeoT with a middle name Patrick so presumably added later.  He does look as if he only uses it sometimes so death could just be Edwin Parker.

thank you so much for your replies.
Yes Pennines they both had Irish ancestry but I do not think he or his parents ever went back to Ireland.
I sort of have a memory that my mother said Edwin left Honora & with the dates you have kindly given me for the ER's suggest that this may have happened around 1939 as he is not with her for the 1939 registration - but where is he at that point?  It would just be good if I could solve the mystery.

Looking at Edwin's occupation  in 1911 am I being silly here.

1939 Edwin P ELLIOTT dob 8.11.1880 occupation very very similar to 1911.

Possible death

Edwin P Elliott
abt 1881   Apr 1954   Apr-May-Jun   Kerrier   Cornwall

You are never silly John the initials, birth similarity and occupation are a big coincidence - that death was Edwin Plowman Elliot and he left a probate.

Pennines, my wife says I am!. I too found it was the wrong death.

Think the below marriage probably rules out the 1939 entry.

Marriages Sep 1914
BRAY    Henrietta    Hill    Lewisham    1d   2484
Cooper    Eunice C    Elliott    Lewisham    1d   2484
Elliott    Edwin P    Cooper    Lewisham    1d   2484
Hill    Charles H    Bray    Lewisham    1d   2484
