British Pacific Fleet in Australia
« on: Tuesday 01 February 22 06:50 GMT (UK) »
I’m looking for any information on HMS Glenearn, & HMS Rame. The appear on a naval record of a client I’m preparing a family tree for. We’re these ships part of the BPF?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

Both those vessels have quality information easily found via Google.  The Royal Australian Navy was under the Admiralty during both World Wars.

RAN service personnel files can be found at the National Archives of Australia.  Many have been digitised, freely available for any member of the general public to seek out online :  naa.gov.au

Hi,
Many thanks for your response. I’ve found a few sites which look promising.

Thanks again. :)
