Hail Weston,St. Neots
« on: Thursday 03 February 22 08:38 GMT (UK) »
Good morning,

It has been a few years since I was RootsChat.  Can anyone please help me with any information on a Stanley P KIDMAN who had "Pastures Farm" at Hail Weston, St. Neots. I have lost all contact with the family.

Regards

Are you talking about the Stanley Partridge KIDMAN born 22 April 1908 and died 21 Nov 1970? What information are you looking for in particular?

Probate granted 3 May 1972 - says he was "of Pastures Farm Hail Weston Huntingdonshire"

He appears in the 1911 census with his parents Percy and Gertrude and siblings at Biggleswade.

Thank you for prompt reply.

Yes, that is the Stanley P Kidman. Stanley was my mother's brother. I am looking for any information regarding his family and whether the Farm is still there, or perhaps now a haulage company.  He had a son, Graham and Daughter Christine who lived near the farm.
Any information would be very much appreciated.

Family search is free to search, however you have to register (free).

It appears Pastures Farm was for sale in 2012:

You can find it on google maps - bit hard to tell if it is still a farm

Stanley P KIDMAN married Barbara B R WRIGHT in 1929 at Biggleswade. I can see 3 children including the 2 you mention born to this couple registered at Biggleswade on FreeBMD: 1931, 1933 and 1936 (hesitant to put their names in case they are still living). Though they don't seem to be the children living at Pastures Farm with Stanley and Barbara in 1939.  :-\

There are 2 children born 1930 and 1935 with Stanley and Barbara KIDMAN and family in 1939 - I think they are the children of Charles W KIDMAN and Rose M STONEBRIDGE (who married in Islington in 1927).

Thank you so much for the information regarding Pastures Farm. Sad to hear it was up for sale and, not able to tell my mother, Stanley's sister. Perhaps the son and daughter have passed.

I'm fairly sure the children of Stanley Kidman and wife Barbara Wright have passed away, so...

GRO BMD references:

1931 Q2 Birth - Betty Kidman; (mmn: Wright); Biggleswade; 3b; 435
1933 Q3 Birth - Graham Charles Kidman; (mmn: Wright); Biggleswade; 3b; 402
1936 Q2 Birth - Christine A Kidman; (mmn: Wright); Biggleswade; 3b; 446

1931 Q2 Death - Betty Kidman; age 0; Biggleswade; 3b; 343

1935 Q3 Birth - Barbara Taylor (mmn: Sanders); Ampthill; 3b; 391
1957 Q3 Marriage - Graham C Kidman & Barbara Taylor; Ampthill; 4a; 53
2002 Q3 Death - Barbara Kidman; age 67 (born c1935); Huntingdon (3331b); G8B; 29
2020 Q2 Death - Graham Charles Kidman; age 87 (born c1933); Cambridgeshire (339-1a); 520618513

1935 Q2 Birth - James W Payne (mmn: Pope); St Neots; 3b; 347
1958 Q4 Marriage - James W Payne & Christine A Kidman; St Neots; 4b; 637
2012 Q4 Death - James William Payne; age 77 (born c1935); Cambridgeshire (339-1d); 507462842
2015 Q3 Death - Christine Ann Payne; age 79 (born c1936); Cambridgeshire (339-1b); 512529670

Barbara Taylor looks to be the daughter of John Thomas Taylor (1906-1981) and Kathleen May Sanders (1911-1982). Barbara can be found in 1939 with her parents in Cranfield.

James William Payne looks to be the son of Edward William Jabez Payne (1913-1985) and Vera May Pope (1914-1999). James can be found in 1939 with his parents in St Neots.

There's some likely looking electoral registers for James and Christine, in St Neots, between 2002 and 2015.
