There's also a will of Roger Evelyn of Stanmore, Middlesex, in 1508. Stanmore is not far away, 3 or 4 miles. This is a Court of Canterbury will, which can be viewed on Ancestry, with a subscription. I'll have a look and tell you what's in it.

Here are the details from his will:

Will made 28 July 1508. Roger Evelyn of Stanmore, Middx.
Wife Alice gets a bull, 120 sheep, 8 horses, 3 colts.
Daughters Agnes and Margaret get 4 bullocks and 20 shillings each towards their marriages.
Two sons John and Robert get sheep, horses, etc. John gets a great brass pot, Robert a little brass pot.
To Henry Evelyn my brother a bay gelding and a dun nag.
Wife Alice and John Warnar to be executors. Robert Waryner and Henry Evelyn to be overseers. Henry Evelyn husbandman was one of the witnesses.

So Henry Evelyn is his brother. Roger was quite well off - all those sheep and horses.

This is what they have on him in Wikitree:

Which also has Henry as his brother and William as their father.

You can order a copy from the Hertfordshire Record Office.

Start here
https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/services/libraries-and-archives/hertfordshire-archives-and-local-studies/hertfordshire-archives-and-local-studies.aspx

Click on Search Herts Names Online

Surname Evelyn, Date range 1500-1550

You will get one result, for Henry. Add to shopping list. They send it by email, I suppose a pdf. The cost is about 10 pounds.
