Morning all
It must be Monday as there's a new thread. It's absolutely tipping it down here. School pick up this afternoon will be a very soggy affair.
Hope everyone has a good week.

We had our rain yesterday but I think we are due some again today, hope I get the washing dry. Hope it dries up for you candleflame, done the school runs in all weathers for 2 generations, now it is dog sitting

I have started the summary off again as I like to keep it tidy, anyway I might get confused with the date!!!!

We had our rain yesterday too but like Candleflame we're getting it again today! I was surprised to see it and read the wet forecast for the rest of the day, when I looked at it yesterday it said we were going to get a fine dry day.

Happy Valentines day everyone. 💕❤

Good morning

Well it’s nice and sunny here at the moment but could soon turn to custard 😩 washing on the line so hope it dries quickly!
We don’t do school runs or dog sitting as grandchildren too far away 😢 and no dogs in the family only cats and they’re in Australia so bit far to go for that 😂😂..

Valentine’s Day doesn’t usually make much difference to us but last year I ordered a meal in that was cooked by local people in the village who used to own a local pub and now have catering company… food was wonderful so done the same for tonight… quiet evening at home enjoying a meal not cooked by me… what’s not to like. We met on the 15th Feb in 1969 so it’s almost a celebration!

Thanks LM for keeping us all in order and starting up the new week… where is the time going another month half way through…

Have a happy Valentine’s Day everyone 💕🥂🍾..

Only 10 minutes of Valentines Day left for us down here, and we're sitting at adjoining computers atm,
but it was a nice day overall and we helped each other out which is more than enough, he did the breakfast and dinner meals for me yesterday and the washing up today, was going to bring home something nice to have with our coffee but place was closed and that I didn't mind at all, lol.

New settings this time tomorrow night for isolation for close contacts and personal responsibility etc as our numbers swell and people lining up for testing again, vaccination booster reminders but numbers there seem to be moving up OK and overall fairly high now.

Cheers for the day ...

Nice to hear of your Valentine treats Caroline and Mare.

I see that as well as Prince Charles testing positive for Covid,  Camilla has now got it too. Ah well, at least they won't have to keep away from each other on Valentines day! Just hope the Queen doesn't get it, she's not showing any symptoms at the moment.

I made it to 1.20 pm before I had a grumble. The post has just arrived and a small white envelope has clearly been opened and then partially restuck down with sellotape. It's not a machine rip as you could see where the ends have been opened to have a look in and then it's had a small amount of sellotape just to stick it back. I think ,though I could be wrong, that someone thought it was a birthday type card as you could feel it was a card. However it wasn't a birthday card with any juicy enclosures , it was simply a pretty postcard where one of my work colleagues had written details of a change of meeting date that I needed to know about !!!
If I post birthday cards , I always just tuck the flap in so if anyone is nosey, they can have a peek in. I never send enclosures either. Perhaps I'm just getting too suspicious ............
