There is no birth registration for a Bertha A Balkwill nor is there a marriage to John Coleman.  What timescale are we looking at?

Have you found them on any census entry?  If so - please give details of their birthyears & birthplaces

Who were their children?  Names/birthyears/birthplaces please

Lester Benjamin Coleman b 1887 mmn Balkwill.  In 1891 he is shown as the adopted son of Benjamin &  Ellen Lashbrook

Where does Berkshire fit?  Born & living in Devon

Please give full details of the 1871 entry so all reading your post know the full details

Baptised PlymptonStMary 22 May 1887. Privately.

1901 boy aged 15  in navy at Plymton.
Father John a seaman.
Could  John have  died ?
Did  Bertha have a daughter also  named Bertha who married in Abingdon Berks in 1920?

No Bertha did not die from what I have found out they left my 2x great grandfather and the rest got on a ship to Australia

We'll Lester b born 12may 1887 bap 22nd May in Plymton was in navy no 212588,  for 12 yrs.last ship the Vivid.
Did he marry in Plymouth in1907 to either Emily G Hollet or Lillian Jane Mann.?
Where was John  born?
And this is the same little boy adopted aged 3.
Father at sea . Mother dead or gone to Australia,?
Where was Bertha born?
