Dublin Records
« on: Thursday 17 February 22 22:50 GMT (UK) »
Hello all,
I have found irishgeneology.com best site to start from, then focus on the local church records, especially in cities and large towns like Dublin.
Thanks

Here's the search site - https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp

I am stuck on the various Russell’s incl quite a few Christopher’s, all in St Andrews Parish as well.
Trying to find the GGGmothers name, Kearny’s and Houghton the main contenders.
Lovely photo of Benbulben!

Sorry, typo, it’s Kearns, St Andrews in Dublin 2. Strange as well that all of the address I have found are exactly where I have been prior to knowing my Dublin’s moms familie had lived there.
15 George’s St is an ancestor, I have been in the Arcade many many times, as a child visiting my gran, and as lately as 5 years ago with friends golfing!!
Stayed in the Schoolhouse by the Royal Canal dock, then find out my ancestors were born,  lived and died in the Emerald Cottages, the Lane way behind the Schoolhouse Hotel. !!
Reminds me of Kavanaughs lines :
On Pembroke Rd look out for my ghost,
Disheveled with shoes untied,
playing through the railings with little children,
whose children has long since died”
