Summary week ending 27th February
« on: Monday 21 February 22 08:44 GMT (UK) »
As Louisa Maud has been starting us off each week I thought I’d give her a break…

Well another week and another storm… how many more can we cope with…

HM has tested positive ( as was said in last weeks post) but what a stalwart she is to still be carrying on with light duties… an example to us all.. hope she recovers soon.

All restrictions being lifted from this week it seems… what are peoples thoughts in that I wonder….

Hope everyone is safe and sound and not suffering too much from our tempestuous weather…

Summary week ending 27th February

Good Morning Folks
Here beginneth another week, and what a week last week was

Today is dustbin day, at 7am I was outside righting a dustbin with papers flying all over the place, my neighbour and I was collecting as much as we could, then again even after moving the bins  to where I thought was a better  position it happened again,  this time the papers didn't fly about, both times I might add in  our  dressing gowns, the wind is biting cold, I imagine the streets will be full of escaping papers out of the dustbins

I have been invited to watch a relatives funeral being streamed at 4.15, it is late I thought but perhaps that is the time that suited the family, streaming is a really good idea, I will dress appropriately as if I am there in person

Viktoria, hope your daughter in law is on the mend as it were and also others that have been unwell over the last few weeks

Take care

Louisa Maud

Collection day here also. Decided not to put the black wheelie bin out; not an awful lot of stuff in it and I couldn't face having to go out and pick up anything which might have been scattered. Enough space in the bin for the next couple of weeks. Same for the recycling; wait until the wind dies down, hopefully a bit calmer by next Monday.
Just got back from the paper shop and any number wof wheelie bins have taken a tumble or gone on their travels down the road!

I remember 1987 I think it was, my father was in hospital and I travelled by train, the overhead wires were down and we had to walk to the next underground station, West Ham, it was really strange, people were chatting and I remember thinking, I wonder if people went about their day chatting like this during war time
This one is particular strong, I have actually put washing out today, I do wonder if  I don't keep my eye on it if it will be found in a garden along the road
Take care

Your good intentions to give LM a break have come to nothing Caroline, she has started another thread shortly after yours! Will ask for them to be merged.

A restless night for me listening to the wind battering around but at least it's fine today after a very wet Sunday.

I haven't been reading threads for a week or two, but hope all are well or improving.

Recycling day here, but not putting it out, due to pretty high winds during the night. It was all washed, or clean card/paper, so won't hurt until next time. Sunny now  :)

Still not 100% over two years later, finally ending up in A & E twice last week.

There were other people turning up at A & E with serious conditions relating to Chest Pain / Heart, or Severe Belly pain, can't eat and Digestive system disorders, so keep alert (as the TV ads say ... speak to your Doctor / get it checked).

The Doctor said to me have you been abroad recently, I said ... what, with this pandemic still going, I wouldn't go. He said, wise man and that he and some of his colleagues are put off too.

It isn't so much the viruses, but the complications afterwards:- immune system problems / secondary illness that viruses seem to trigger in some people.

Take care all, Mark

😂😂😂visions of you chasing your bin down the road with your dressing gown flapping in the wind ready to do a Mary Poppins made me laugh…

Bushinn- sorry to hear your still suffering with two A & E visits… hope your situation improves soon to start giving you a better quality of life.

Thanks Roobarb for asking for our posts to be amalgamated….

I nearly blew away putting the washing on my rotary line… millions of pegs in so far it’s still there ! Thought I’d give it a good blow 😂😂.
