Huguenot refugees benefitted from royal grants after fleeing to England in the late seventeen and early eighteen hundreds.

The only Fauchon name I can spot receiving monies from these grants Jaques Fauchon, Bourgeois, du Burillon de St Lô. In 1704 he has a wife and 2 children. He died 1728 age 70, Tyburn Road, leaving a widow Marie.

Searching French records often depends on knowing the Parish they hailed from. Jaques is possibly "your" Michael's brother - the ages fit. You might want to focus your search of French records on Le Burillon Saint-Lô. I really enjoy searching French records but have to sign off now and will check later.

As for "Robert Fauchon", the 1754 poll book for Kent, which identifies those freeholders entitled to vote includes -

Freeholder's Name and Abode - Robert Pike, Dartford
Freehold - Willmington
Of what consisting - Land
Occupier - Rob Fauchon

trish1120 (above) gave the burial date of Mr Michael Fauchon as 23 May 1736 at Horton.  It could be worth checking if he left a will, which might, on a good day, throw light on his origins.  I believe it was in the Archdeaconry of Rochester.  If so, I think I'm right in saying that Familysearch has images, but no index, but it seems an index is available at Family History Centres or the Kent History Centre.  Perhaps a Kent researcher would confirm this.
