"Surgeon" John Watkins - Llandogo

I have just found out that John Watkins born 1760 and died 1833 at Llandogo was a Surgeon.  Is this true?

"I have just found out"    How?  What documentary evidence do you have to support it?

Did he have any children?   Have you located any baptismal records for any of them which gives his occupation

There was a John WATKINS surgeon who died on 3 April 1836, aged 25 at Cape of Good Hope. Son of Thomas WATKINS of Cardiff. 

The John WATKINS who was buried at Llandogo on 17 Jan 1833 was 75 years old and of Penyvan.

FreeREG has the Bapt of Philadelphia 16 Oct 1788, abode Cross St

There are others to John/Elizabeth around the same time but not the same address.

OK found VIRGINIA bapt 03 Jun 1794 abode Cross St

Looks as though Virginia may be the one died Nottingham 1864
Probate to Thomas Beveridge a surgeon. And she is a visitor in his household in 1861.
Born Monmouthshire, Abergavenny

At probate “formerly of Walsall”

Newspaper notice of her death says 6 Market street.  That is Thomas  Beveridge’s address
