Thanks again. It's interesting how the name evolved from Keating to Cadden. Sure makes for interesting research. :-)

Terrence's death record seems to be off by a year too - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FZJD-ZQL  Maybe the transcriber had some blurry vision.

There are various Union Co. probate records here - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-893Q-JQ6K?owc=MQTM-9TL%3A338011501%3Fcc%3D2018330&wc=MQT8-S6D%3A338011501%2C341580501&cc=2018330

I guess we all make mistakes  :) Thanks, I'll trawl through the probates just in case Terence did make a will.

Looking to see if Adelaide and Francis J. Murphy had any other children, apart from the Adelaide (1916-2000) listed on their headstone. Living with them in 1915 was Francis ? Murphy born Jun 1913. In 1920 there was Gerard age 6 and Mary aged 3 1/2

In 1915 state census the son of J. Francis G. Murphy and I think the G. was for Gerard.

Glad that Adelaide Cadden turned out to be the one you were looking for  :)

Sometimes less information is better when filling in search boxes. I just used Family Search and put in Adelaide as the first name, New Jersey as place and births 1870-1879.

Thank goodness she had a fairly unusual name!

The article posted above about the elder Adelaide's death says she was survived by her husband and her daughter.  Maybe the son died some time after 1920?  I didn't see any definite matches on the NJ death index.
