And it was really good quality stone too! Those edges are still crisp 140 years later.

Some of us have visited enough graveyards to notice these things!
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.

It really is, which is what makes it such a shame. It's on a bluff exposed to the worst the North Sea can throw at it and it's just as good now as it was nearly 150 years ago.
